Oh Lord Give Me Patience....

I am still waiting for my job to start. I have not really heard much, nothing official, from the VA since I had my EKG and blood test. That was now three weeks ago almost. I'm starting to feel like I may have made this whole job up and it is all a cruel joke, but then I remember that I truly did go in and got leads strapped to my chest in 8 places to monitor my heart rhythm, and I think that this simply must be real. Every day I have a sense of anticipation as I check my e-mail to see if all of my paperwork has gone through, but no such luck yet. Poop. During the last three weeks, I don't think I've been able to sleep in my own bed half of the time. I've had to work for Walgreens in Phoenix because there haven't been enough hours for me to pick up in Tucson. Two weeks ago I worked Sunday-Thursday in Phoenix, came home for the weekend, then back to Phoenix to work Tuesday-Thursday, back to Tucson to work Friday, and now I'm back in Phoenix to work Saturday-Monday (ridiculous run-on sentence I know). I never imagined I'd have to nearly beg for pharmacist shifts once I graduated. They have been ridiculously understaffed in terms of pharmacists for the last ump-teen years, and now that I graduate they are nearly fully staffed. Luckily, Daved has been able to come up with me the last two jaunts because he has been off from Gaslight. I never know what shifts I may pick up until a few days before, or even the day of. I just keep trying to think about how I'm blessed just to have a job, but I am just a woman of routine and am desperately seeking one!!!! Please pray that I hear something fantastic from the VA this week!!!

I'm sorry. That sounds awful. You must be so frustrated. I hope things start working out for you soon!
