An Oldie but a Goodie

Unbelievable!!!

So, as blogged about previously, I have a really cute pink RAZR phone with matching bluetooth. Until 2 weeks ago, my phone history has been completely clean, with next to no accidents minus a minor drop here and there. Definitely no need for early phone replacement. Well, 2 weeks ago was the Beer Festival here, and that is basically Disneyland for adults, but way better. Unfortunately, due to some complications with probable dehydration due to major yardwork that morning, I had a little problem which subsequently made mine and Daved's clothes quite dirty. The next morning, Daved realized that not one, but BOTH of our cell phones had gone through the entire wash cycle. Both were dead for 3 days, but mine came back, and his didn't. SO! My phone was amazing. Fast forward one week, and I am on my trauma rotation at UMC. I am wearing my white coat, which holds my PDA, trauma pager, and cell phone in my pockets. On my way to rounds at 7AM, I, as usual, need to stop at the restroom. I take care of my business, flush the toilet on my way up, begin to button my pants, and somehow my phone flew out of my coat pocket, into the toilet, and STRAIGHT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! I have NEVER heard of this happening before!! This just does NOT happen to people. Falling in the toilet, YES.... down the drain without even pretending to clog it......NO!!!!!! So, warning to my fellow cell phone users.... it can fall in the toilet, and it CAN go down the drain, never to be seen again. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
