Drive-Thru Pharmacy is NOT fast food!!
In celebration of the federal holidays, I work at Walgreens since I don't quite feel like I need a day off yet. Well, I worked Veteran's Day and yet again was reminded how thankful I am for my "real" job. Don't get me wrong, I don't totally hate the retail setting or I wouldn't do it. However, full-time is just too much to deal with for me and I'm sure I would hate my life if that's what I was doing. On Tuesday, I worked in a pharmacy where you can see pretty much everything that is going on inside the pharmacy from the drive-thru. The only good thing about this is that a person can be aware of just how busy everyone is inside from their car. Bad thing is, they are staring you down. The opening technician called in sick, so I was by myself for the first hour and we were a bit busy. Nothing crazy, but busy. Within one hour, while there were 4+ customers waiting in line inside and only one spare technician to help them and the drive-thru, one person started banging on the window of the drive-thru for someone to help him after he had been told we would help him as soon as we could. He was literally sitting there 1 minute. Then, this crazy woman started honking her horn. She could see all of us as busy as could be inside, but obviously felt that she was more important than every single person waiting in line inside before her. Crazy people!!! I can't help but give them dirty looks. This is just beyond ridiculous!
