January
First, at the beginning of the year I got to see Katie who was in town from Portland. It was lovely spending most of the day with her and meeting her newest baby, Vera. In keeping with our tradition since they moved, next time I see her she'll be pregnant with her third baby! Each time I've seen her she's either been pregnant or I've met a new addition, so now it's time for another! :)
We went to Show Low for a MLK weekend with our friends the Kinnamans and their two Goldens. We were also dog sitting for our friends, so poor little Maggie was stuck with three big dogs.
Poor George also got neutered this month.
February
Daved turned the big 3-0 this month, so he got to pick the trip of his choice and he immediately decided on NYC! I immediately got to planning (I'm a little OCD about it) and I'm not going to lie, I'm an amazing travel planner!!
I found the most wonderful little boutique hotel right in Time Square, and it was amazing!! Each night they served appetizers, wine and champagne and it was fantastic. It was like staying at a rich aunt's house or something, yet right in the middle of the city. We went to the Empire State Building, did a Circle Line Cruise, met up with 3 different friends that live there, went to a show, walked a ton, went to the Museum of Natural History, went to some great pubs, enjoyed Central Park twice, Greenwich Village, ate at Rice to Riches (which Daved had been dying to try since he saw "Hitch"), met some fun toy maker friends who took us out to sushi, waited in line for Saturday Night Live (unsuccessfully), went to Rockefeller Center.... and more. We would absolutely love to live there some day, and I'm not sure I would have been able to come home had it been Springtime.
March
All I can remember is that I had my first business trip to Savannah. It is such a cute city and I'd love to go back someday. I had a great time meeting other VA people and we went out every night. I'm still working off all the food I ate that week. So much food!

This was the view from my hotel room.
April
All I remember from April was another business trip, this time to Kansas City, KS. The highlight of this trip was going to see Ralphie May who was performing at the mall across the street. It's blurry but here we are!

May
We went to Tampa to visit Daved's family. We got to meet our newest niece Lilly, and we saw Daved's youngest sister Adora graduate from USF. After the graduation we stayed in a lovely condo on the beach and had a nice relaxing weekend.
Then when we got home, I finally purchased a new car after 6 weeks of sharing a car. I just didn't have time to shop. The car my parents had given me my senior year of high school finally bit the dust after almost 200,000 miles. I liked it so much I just upgraded the same model by 9 years! I still love my new car :)
June
We celebrated our 3rd anniversary on June 3 and went to Starr Pass Resort again. We started off with a 100 minute couples massage, then spent the weekend lounging at the pool. It was wonderful!

Daved even sent me some beautiful flowers to my office!

Then I turned 26, so we went to an amazing condo in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. This lovely place is only 3 1/2 hours away, and we loved it so much we're going back in October!
View from our private balcony.
My idea of vacation: balcony overlooking the ocean, book, hammock, and mimosa. Perfect!!
July
The biggest thing this month was that George turned 1! His sister Heidi was staying with us during their birthday while my parents were in Africa, so they had a little birthday party.
August
In August, we went up to Phoenix and saw Cirque de Soleil which was AWESOME!, then celebrated my brother's birthday with his friends in Scottsdale that night. The next morning, we drove up to Flagstaff and saw some of my old pharmacy classmates, hung out downtown, went to Sunset Crater, enjoyed a neat wine bar, and went hiking in Sedona. The last night we had a ridiculously amazing dinner at a tiny little place near our hotel, complete with wine pairings. Mmmmmmm.... no pictures really. I'm trying to do better with this. Another fun thing this month was that my parents got a few rooms at a resort in Tucson, so my whole family hung out for the weekend. Even George got to come since the resort was pet friendly!
And this brings us to September!!! I will try not to have to do another 9-month catch up and stay current! Now it's time for some SYTYCD!! WOOHOO!!
